Our succulent Silverside is hand-cut by our Craft Butchers. Taken from the rump it has exceptional taste. It has a self-treating layer of fat which keeps it wet amid cooking to lock in the succulent flavour.
Our Silverside beef has a very distinct silver shine to the meat. It has a firm meaty texture and is best slow-cooked for maximum tenderness. A delicious and popular choice for a Sunday roast.
To slow cook your Silverside, quarter 1 large onion & place in the bottom of the slow cooker, next add 2 sliced carrots, 2 gloves of garlic, and any other root vegetable you like, add 2 cups of water to the vegetables, season with salt & pepper. Place your Silverside onto of the vegetables & cook on high for 6 hours or low for 8-10 hours. Once ready serve with buttery mashed potatoes & beef gray.
